Since 1981, Barbara and Rosey Rosenthal have been transforming their Los Osos garage into a productive printmaking studio, primarily for intaglio and relief printmaking. See the studio cleaned up* and in action during the Open Studios Art Tour. Learn about different types of original prints. You may even be pressed into service as a temporary apprentice. Barbara will also show selected paintings and pastels.
With over 60 years of combined art making history, there will be something for most interests and for every pocketbook. After several years of showing at different open studios venues (Art is for Everyone! in Baywood and Studios on the Park in Paso Robles), Rosey and Barbara will be showing together at their in-home studio. Rosey will also show off the grape arbor he finally talked Barbara into. In October this means lots of extra sweeping.
*The studio got extra messy when Barbara returned from a week of teaching in Yosemite and Rosey and Barbara immediately had to make final frenetic preparations for the show “Press Paper/Fire Clay” which opened at Studios on the Park on October 6th.
Read more about Rosey and Barbara on their artist pages in Studios on the Park Artist Directory or at RosenthalArt.com. Their studio will be open (and clean) both weekends of ARTS Obsipo’s Open Studios Art Tour.
